Greetings

Hi everyone pleasure to be here. I am someone who has little tabletop rpg experience, but who would like to get into D&D for starters. I used to play a bit of Star Wars, and have had friends that play a lot but I never really got the chance to do much rp-ing myself.
I was wondering if some of the more experienced players on this forum could give me a bit of advice on starting out, if I should find a shop where I could observe a few games, or if I should just try to find a group right away and just start playing, what exactly I might need, and any other helpful bits. Much appreciated  Wink

Heya Robotic, welcome to the forums, glad to have you aboard.  These boards are used alot for various tables (role playing groups) so you may not see alot of action in the public areas of the forums but they are fairly active and checked regularly.  So if you have a question feel free to post and someone will be around to answer within a few hours usually

As far as a game of D&D you can check out, I would suggest checking the Meet Ups section. I know Sean runs a game at a store out in Kenner but I am not exactly sure of the days and times.

Again welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay with us.

Hi Asimov,

I'm running a 1e game on alternating Friday's in Lakeview.  We currently have 5 players, not including myself as DM, and a 6th player would be welcome.

On the other Friday's, another of our group runs a Vampire game.

If you're interested, then shoot me a pm.

You can always try the meetup group that I just joined.

Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

I am attending my first meetup this coming Saturday. They have been very friendly on the boards and I think it might be a great place to start.  Smiley
