A little early recon
Jan 30th, 2010 at 5:18pm

I am working on starting a new campaign and looking to see if there is any interest out there.  I am trying to find a new group, not that anything is wrong with the old group, except for scheduling conflicts.  The game would probably be either a weekly or bi-weekly campaign starting sometime this summer once my schedule stabilizes alittle.  Anyway here are the details.

1. Modified version of D&D3.5
2. Homebrewed world mixing elements of fantasy and horror.
3. Gamestyle will be a 60:40 mix of kick in door and indepth storyline.  My fiance is a new player so I am trying to make it as easy for her to grasp as possible without being a straight kick in door style game.
4. Players of all experience types welcomed.

Any other questions, feel free to pm me.

How many players are you looking for?

Do you have a suitable place to game?

Depends on the night, time commitment, and gaming style.

I already have a regular Saturday night game, but would be interested in a second game depending on the style.  I've been itching to play a rules light, fast paced, light hearted game.  The type where your are more concerned with fun and adventure and a good laugh that having a serious  hard core bad a$$ gaming group.  If that is what you are looking for I think I might be interested.  If your a 'serious' gamer, I probably wouldn't fit into the group.

Types of characters I enjoy playing:
Crazy swashbuckler
A gnome named Gnorm with a disturbing fascination with footwear
A half giant house servant with a learning disability

I am looking to go with no more than 5.  As for a place to play, by the time the game will be starting, we will be living with my fiance's father (got to save money for the wedding).  It's not an amazing place, but it will be acceptable.  The game will be less strict than most.

Might be starting a little sooner, if anyone is interested in playing.  I will post details later, or you can PM me.

I might be interested, so long as everyone can deal with my rustiness (haven't played any D&D in years) and time of evening is important- would really want it to be after 8, kids to think of.

Still trying to get firm conformation from a group, so if you are interested contact me.  The game would probably be sundays starting around 8pm.  And it looks like we don't have a spot to hold the game for a few months, so if anyone is gracious enough to volunteer use of their home, that would be awesome.

The Internet Oracle has pondered your question deeply. Your question was:
> Are there any games harder than Nethack?

And in response, thus spake the Oracle:
} Life is pretty tough, everyone I know ends up dying.

Need one, maybe two, more people.  I'll post more details when I'm on an actual computer and not my phone.
