What you missed on the 5th (a rough recap)
Dec 9th, 2009 at 5:38am

While burying the bodies of the fallen caravan riders, Luke discovers a fallen path messenger and uncovers a mysterious letter and medallion. After reading the letter it is revealed that the path was looking for him to enlist his aid not turn him over to Lord of shattered bridge whom has indeed placed a bounty on his head. The letter also hints that some lady from Luke's past  still has great faith in him. In order to convince the rest of the party to aid him Luke then reveals his true name, that he is an exiled  and honor bound knight of the order of Heironeous.

They set off for Brix and after an encounter with thugs robbing some farmers (during which 2 gnomes are slain and a thug captured.) They arrive at Brix and get a lesson in how the guards of the north gate operate. After some investigations they find Arageth feeding the poor in King's row. (Where apparently something evil is prowling beneath the streets)

The party learns that the medallion “the amulet of Hextor” is a ransom for the safe return of a Cleric who had uncovered the rod of Heironeous but who had fallen into the hands of a band of thugs. We also learned that in addition to the amulet the thugs wanted a platinum ransom that Arageth  somewhat exaggerated to church officials to help him found a proper temple in Brix.

The exchange is to take place at the peak of Drakespire mountain on the night of the full moon. The request is renewed after each quarter moon (week) with instructions scribed on a finger (which appears to be from Ragar, the missing priest.) Ragar has only 3 finger left at this point and Arageth doubts they will proceed with toes.

Whether there are ghosts in that house is not for me to say! But, there are far more dangerous things than ghosts.
