My name is Austin and I've been out of the game for about three years, but that's 3 years out of...oh my god, 16.

I started when I was ten, was DMing by 12, and guess what I don't want to be! A DM! I got stuck, and burnt out. Luckily, I can't DM, because I know nothing about 4th edition, and that's what I'd like to play. Any games running out there?

I love clerics and monks...

Welcome to the boards and back to gaming Austin. 

I know there are quite a few games running around town that use these boards, but I don't think there are any running 4th ed D&D.  I see you posted in one of the other threads in the Looking for Table/Players section.  I would suggest maybe a new thread over there about wanting to play D&D4 but not wanting to run it.  You may find we have some lurkers that are just waiting for a 4e game to pop up as well.

Thanks for the welcome,

You know, I'm not opposed to playing 3.5 either. But funny story- I let my classes play with my D&D books, and guess what! They ruined/lost a lot of them...

May be they stole them and they're running games out in Iberville. That would be okay.

I do figure if I need to buy books, might as well buy new ones, though.
