Your Homebrew campaign has a prominent location for the Caves of Chaos and had to reworked to fit in the Village of Homlet.

Whether there are ghosts in that house is not for me to say! But, there are far more dangerous things than ghosts.

You know you're an old school D&Der when your favorite sub-forum is near the bottom of the page.

You know you're an old school D&Der when you describe your character's action to the DM, the DM looks at you with a blank expression, tells you "Roll against skill/feat/power X" and you look back at the DM with a blank expression.

You know you're an old school D&Der when your character dies and you have another ready, from scratch, in under 5 minutes.

You know you're an old school D&Der when every single thing you need to play, including ALL rulebooks, dice, player sheets, notepads and pencils, fit into one standard-sized cigar box.

You know you're an old school D&Der when you run your original D&D at CoastCon, and people actually stop and oogle over your books.  Your entire '74 boxed edition that cost you about $10 bitd now go on e-bay for hundreds.

You know you're an old school D&Der when you think Lou Zocchi has the coolest booth at a convention.

You know you're an old school D&Der when your rulebooks are about as old as some of your players parents.

You know you're an old school D&Der when you have trouble finding players.   Sad

You know you're an old school dnd'er when you think THAC0 really isn't that complicated.  I'm looking for an old school AD&D (1e/2e) game if you have an opening or know of one.

The Internet Oracle has pondered your question deeply. Your question was:

Something like that.  They had originally planned a grand opening for September 2010, but it's been pushed back multiple times.  For whatever reason they decided to totally renovate a retail space instead of just moving into one, so they've hit a few snags inspection-wise.  However, the plans for the layout of the shop are online and they look frickin' sweet.

Last I heard, they planned to open early January, but that obviously didn't happen.  We'll see.

They've pretty much resigned themselves to not choose an opening date.  They will open when they open and have a Grand Opening celebration shortly there after.  They do tend to keep their facebook status more up to date than the website as far as how things are coming, what they are working on, what is done, etc.

You know you are an old school D&Der when the numbers on your first set of dice had to be filled in with a white crayon.

you know youre old school when: your mother threw away your red box set, because it would turn you into a devil worshipper, and you barely knew the rules so you made it up as you went along, and used a cassette tape with blue writing on one side and red on the other as your dice. Shocked

Funny story, I used to play an ad&d game with some "old school" players.  We spent about as much time with them trying to figure out THAC0 as actual playing.  They also had a hard time figuring out BAB in 3rd/3.5.  The DM finally made a chart for these guys to figure it out.  They still had trouble.
