So I'm thinking about starting a game. I want to do something besides the traditional fantasy setting, so no D&D... besides, I get enough of that as it is!
Anyhow, I'm thinking maybe Shadowrun, Traveller, or Dark Heresy - maybe a GURPS game in a cool setting, but I'm definitely leaning towards the sci-fi end of things. I've never played any of these games - well, I played GURPS for about 45 minutes in 9th grade before my friends and I had to eat dinner or something. Of course, that was a long (long) time ago. No big deal, though, as I'm a pretty quick learner. Anyway, combat rules and such aren't rocket science. RPGs are RPGs, right? As long as the source material isn't garbage I can get the gist of a game system and adapt it to whatever sort of world I might envision. Besides, that's the idea!
Regardless of what system I use, I promise it will be good if not totally rad. I try to customize and write as much as possible, avoiding pre-designed campaign settings and adventures as much as possible.
There you go. Who's down? Any suggestions?
