Google says the address is 1901 but looking at the street view, I think its 1929.  Regardless, the easiest way to get there is to go to the west bank via the bridge.  As you cross you are on the west bank expressway.  From the expressway take the Manhattan exit and turn left by going under the expressway.  Drive about a mile and it will be on the left so you have to U-Turn.

Continue on Westbank Expy W                        1.6 mi
Take exit 6 toward Manhattan Blvd                  0.3 mi
Merge onto Westbank Expy                              492 ft
Turn left at Manhattan Blvd                              0.5 mi
Continue straight to stay on Manhattan Blvd            0.9 mi
Make a U-turn

Its one of those pricey yuppie places but I picked this place for a few reasons.  The food-food leans to the slightly gourmet kinds of sandwiches and the like.  I don't get the food often.   But its also one of those desert places with the giant cinnamon rolls and giant cookies.  Instead of doing lunch this time, I thought we could meet in the afternoon.   Parrot Pete's has a big outside area with umbrella tables, chairs and a lake with fake swans shared with other businesses so if the weather is nice we can sit out and really, you don't have to spend anything or you could just get a cookie and drink.  So this is more a snack meetup instead of the meal meetups we've had before.  It's also on the westbank and we haven't done that before.


So, next saturday, 2:00, Parrot Pete's.   Who is going to show?

Whose the westbank hater?   You want all us people from there to come to your side but you never visit us.  What's up with that?

I'd love to come, but I don't have transport to/from the westbank (I'm a bus and walker, not a car-owner) and I have to work at 4:00 on Saturday in the French Quarter. If anyone is planning on coming, and could give me a ride and then leave in time to get me to the FQ by 4:00, please email me.
