I am glad you moved feather north Dav, I texted you that night about covington not peachy.

Did you bring your sister with you?

We left at 8:00 Pm Saturday night (I guess the same time as Keven), we took the covington bridge and then went west through B.R. It was of and on bad for a while so we took the side roads to texas, and it was smooth sailing. We arived at about 8 am. Right now we are in frost texas, with a super shit air card connection. I am already bored.

Old people always have TV, so I guess I can waste some time watching the news. They have a computer, but it is connected through Dialup.

I heard about how hard the westbank is going to get it. At least you got your DnD books dav. haha

My sister and her crew already had gone to memphis. I was just going to her house because it seemed a better idea than the west bank.

I've seen postings on the wwl site that some people stayed within a few blocks of my house.

my dad went to memphis. mom went to MS. I don't personally know anyone who stayed.

And I grabbed my 4.0 d&d and gurps. I should have moved them up but my very good - mint condition 1.0 and 2.0 dnd are on the bottom shelf of a bookcase. 12 ft in algiers and they are trashed.

Left Kenner at 10:30am Sunday. Arrived in Jackson, TN at about 2:30am. My mother stayed in Kenner with her brother and an aunt of mine was supposed to come after the tow company she works for got the word from the police that they could close, but by then it was too late. Haven't heard from my mother since I got in last night, but my aunt says she had electricity about 45 minutes ago but lost cable and is having problems with the cell phone.

Reply #14 - Sep 10^th, 2008 at 11:00am myself, i'd fled to arkansas and hung out with family, got bored and came back thursday night to a dark apartment in the middle of lit up metairie, and ended up camping out at heather's parents' place a few days. the power came on late saturday and we were back home sunday morning. hooray for electricity and cable!
