During a visit to my hometown in Georgia over the holidays, I stopped by the FLGS and picked up, among other things, a hardcover copy of GURPS Basic Set Third Edition. I love it! I plan on throwing some characters together as well as running through the solo adventure.

What's your opinion of GURPS 3rd edition? What's your favorite edition of GURPS?

Casper is more familiar with 3rd than I am. I started with GURPS in its current incarnation (4th ed). Maybe he'll post up his thoughts.
