The next BabelCon 2011 meeting is in a private meeting room at the "Hampton Inn & Suites Baton Rouge/Port Allen" at 2755 Commercial Dr., Port Allen, LA.

All people wishing to volunteer for BabelCon 2011 are invited to attend. Some new board members will be there, and we are still accepting nominations for a Gamer Liason.

After the meeting we have scheduled a walk-through of the convention locations, in the hotel and conference center.

Some of our loved ones decided they wanted BabelCon's dates/venue so badly, they booked them out from under us. We don't understand why they did this, but we don't believe their intentions were nefarious.

The new management took a vote and decided that since we don't want to fight with our friends, BabelCon is going to postpone its convention until later in the year. We don't want to put a firm timeline on when the new dates/venue will be announced, as it could be a few weeks or a few months, depending on availability.

Those attendees that pre-registered will have the option of a refund, or applying the amount to the new date. The same goes for the vendors who already rented a table, or gamers who submitted games. Our guests who already accepted an invitation to appear will be notified via a phone call.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused the fans, but sometimes Fate has other plans.
