Hey man, just found the community and this is the thread that got me excited enough to join. I'm amazed you've got your new store opening and especially your location. Plan on seeing me soon with a couple of friends (probably sometime this week/weekend).

Just curious, hadn't really noticed your store or sign before, when was it you got your sign up? Excited now!

Store's not open yet!  They just put up the sign in the past couple weeks.

Our Grand Opening is set for December 4! We'll probably be open sooner than that; the 4th is just the party.

Hi all I was at a local coffee/internet cafe I go to and saw the plus1gaming business card that Jeremy & Allie have.  I called after checking here, thinking I missed out and found that the new grand opening is set for December 18 for those of you who have not been to the website.

The updated message (posted November 29) is shown below:

"We are forced, assuredly for the last time, to move the opening date back to December 18. We expect to be open before then. We will let you know as soon as we open. It is less than three weeks away!

Jeremy said they will be open until 10pm weekdays and midnight on weekends.
I for one am looking forward to checking the store out!

Looks like we'll just have to wait and see.

Alright, I'm ready to start running board & RPG games that are all still in print* and this store can happily sell.  Well, I hope they'll be happy to sell games!   :D

I just need this place to open already.   :-/

RP, the one time I met you, you had a small stack of old gaming products.  If I recall correctly, one of them was a Runequest boxed set.  'Nuff said.


At any rate, I'm stoked on this new store.  Like, SUPER stoked.  It's going to be a gamechanger for everyone in town (no pun intended).

I really hope it is, and doubly hope that it's an improvement on what's passed for an FLGS previously in these parts.  Frankly, and I will not name names, but when I've walked into ANY LGS around here, I felt treated like an intrusion rather than a customer.  Although not spoken, the attitude by the "salespeople" was "Hey, can't you see I'm gaming here?  I don't have time to bother with answering your stupid questions about what's not on the shelf and could be ordered." 

To which my response was, "Fine, I can probably get it cheaper on-line myself anyway.  See ya."  But what I really said was "Ok", and walked out.

I've got money to blow on games.  I've got a fair amount of money to blow on games.  It's up to the store to prove that they want the money.

That is soooo not the point!

Little bird told me that their final inspections are this coming Monday.... then they get their permit for occupancy. I bet they open sometime this coming week as long as the inspections go fine.
