We are using the Conan Pocket Edition (Licensed D20 3.25) modified as noted below and on the other pages in this section:

  • Ability Scores: 6+2d6 (so results will be 8 – 18). Assign as desired (p12-15). Players who wish to play a hero with an unusually low stat should consult with the GM.

  • Hit Points: Maximum at first level, roll thereafter, ignoring all die results less than ½ of max roll

  • Fate Points: Each character gets three fate points, plus any racial bonus (p95-96).

  • Code of Honor and Allegiences: These can be chosen now or later, during play (p100-104)

  • Reputation: Level+Cha mod+code of honor bonus (p105-109)

  • Social Station: This will be assigned by the GM, based on character class/concept.

  • Starting Equipment: More or less, starting currency is as per Conan standard (see p97-99). A starting package may be chosen (p98-99) or equipment can be purchased before play from the Conan list (p190-221). Unspent coins can be kept. There will be an opportunity during the first session to purchase additional equipment. Some names will change, and culture-specific items will use the nearest equivalent. If there's something you want that is not on the list, just look for the closest equivalent, and estimate the cost. Don't worry too much about precise accounting, just outfit your character as appropriate, keeping in mind that you're relatively low level and cash-strapped, but not dead-broke.
