Hi!  My name is Billie and I just moved to New Orleans from Savannah, GA.  I'm an 18 year old girl and I'm majoring in theatre at Tulane.  I knew a bunch of guys in Savannah who played D&D and Exalted, but I never got around to joining any of the games.  It looked like a lot of fun and I really want to try it out.  I don't know how to play, though.  If anyone wants to let me join their game and teach me how to play it, I would be very appreciative!

Hi, Billie! Nice to see you on the forums. There are a few groups that meet right now. We have a meetup that comes about once a month or so. Bookmark the forum and keep in touch to whats going on. It is the best way to find a game.

Welcome aboard.  I'm guessing that Gustav & Ike have messed with gaming schedules, but hopefully everyone will be back on track very soon.  I hate to wish Ike onto anyone else, but we've had our hit for the year.  That's what I'm thinkin'.

We usually get together every monday night (depending on work schedules).  We will be meeting this monday.  We usually start around 7:30, but you might wanna come alittle early so we can get the basics set up (ground rules, character, etc.).  You're gonna need a set of dice (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, d%).  Don't worry if you don't have one, you can buy one at the shop.  They also have drinks and snacks on sale and usually order pizza from the dominoes downstairs.  I can give you the address so you can google the directions.

Right.  Its the address for Galactic Goods.  We try to start at 7:30 but the game usually doesn't get going til around 8ish with everyone getting food of some type and the occasional player running late.

Ugh.  I won't be able to make it this Monday, but I will try to drop by next week.

That's cool.  However, next week is a different game by a different DM.  He usually doesn't have a problem with adding new players, but his game already has 7 or 8 players so he might not want to.

I believe that's what you call the version before WOTC came out with v3.  Whatever you call it, its the second edition of D&D.
