Title: Looking for White Wolf
Post by BoondockSinner on Mar 25th, 2008 at 7:28pm
Hi, I'm 27, live in Metairie, and I am a gamer.  (Chorus of "Hi Boondock")

Anywho, as the title makes redundant, I am looking for a decent White Wolf game.  I have played a good deal of 2nd ED Vampire (both Dark Ages and Modern), some Mage, and have dabbled in Werewolf.  While I am not opposed to Wraith or even Changeling, I don't really have any experience there.  My past characters have run the gamut of comedic to horrific, making stops at sexy and crazy in between, so I am sure I can match the tone of whatever world you are putting together.

I really would prefer not to Storytell.  I have done that a few too many times already and it's my turn to play!  ;D

I have a 8 - 5 out here in Metairie (sometimes 8 - 6) and would prefer a game during the week so evenings would be best, though if the game is early evening, I could drive into uptown.

Also, I would rather game with a group approximately around my own age; I don't need everyone to be there, but I do have an issue if the entire group is made up of gamers who were alive for Eisenhower, or if I am the only one who can go on a beer run.

Let me know, get it touch, etc.

I haven't seen many people doing White Wolf in New Orleans.  If you web search you can find an active LARP group that uses White Wolf stuff, I think.  Most of them are 20 somethings.

You could try talking to Nik:   Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register    Last I knew he was doing changeling but that means it is a White Wolf/ST game.   I don't know if its strictly fairies.

In the story teller world you have vampires, werewolves, hunters, mages, mummys, ghosts (wraith), and faires a.k.a. fey (changeling).   There are expended vampires, gargoyles, I think, and other were creatures.  There are probably new books I never tried.

In most story teller games I have been the game starts with one and people later join with someone from the others.  I have also played in games where each player was from a different book.

Nik's game was changeling but he may allow other creatures.

Liam, i think it is possible you missed the inadvertent humor here.  If you read the last few words of Nick's post...Oh hell, it's just funny.

No, I got it.  Its just not the sort of joke I would make... in a public forum with someone I don't know well.

So.... your current game is just fairies but you could add mages or you could do an all mage game?

Nik, try to contact boondock and let me know if you have trouble.  I see  both boondock accounts seem to be deleted so I hope I didn't delete him when I was cleaning out spam account.  I try to just delete accounts more than a week old with no posts (so post when you join!) because we seem to get about 500 spam accounts a week.

I tried to contact Boondock to no avail.  :o

And to clarify, there is no current game running. I would love to get a Changeling game going... welcoming all genders and orientations.
I could get into running a Mage game too. Or a combo. Just keep in mind that I only run the 2nd edition stuff... i am not a fan of the new editions.

I don't see anything in the logfiles that would help me track him down.   :(

You might want to go sign up on meetup.com in the role playing area (while it survives) and see if you get a better response.

Yeah, You accidentally outsted me Liam!  I felt just a little miffed until I found out it was accidental.  Anyhow, yeah a mage game would be right up my alley :)

Oops.

Did this just happen (last weekend)? I was trying a different way to clean up the accounts and maybe it didn't work right.

Anyway, the forum policy is to only delete spam accounts and generally, posting something (that isn't spam) should be proof against getting deleted but joining and lurking might not be.   I will just have to be more careful in the future.
